Our Campaign Process
Master Plan Services will lead you and your congregation in a capital stewardship campaign that is vision-driven. The mission of the campaign is to present the vision in such a compelling way that people share the vision and feel honored to support it.
How is this done? Master Plan Services has developed a thoughtful, natural process designed to move you and your congregation through a series of strategic phases toward the realization of your vision. Each of these phases allows you and your church to personalize and customize the campaign to fit your church's project, personality, and preferences.
If you are a pastor, you will find encouragement, confidence, guidance, and support necessary for a successful campaign. Armed with our experience in leadership development, MPS will help you guide your congregation through a thoughtful, proven process personalized to fit your church and customized with those elements that touch the hearts of your people.
At this point, it is assumed the pastor and his committees have already begun to develop clear ideas on what you want to build and how much the project will cost. You are already acquiring basic drawings, blueprints and architectural renderings of the project.
How Our Process works:
- Professional Consultant is invited to meet with pastor, church board, finance committee, building committee, other decision-makers or professionals.
- Pray for God‚s direction. Get ready to be focused and very busy for a four-month period.
- Begin developing clear ideas on what you want to build.
- Begin formulating an idea of how much the project will cost.
- Begin acquiring architectural renderings, or basic drawings of project.
- Invite Consultant to come and make a Formal Presentation.
- Ask lots of questions. Get a feel for the Consultant‚s style.
- Talk to your people.
- Make the decision to move forward.
- Church Board will hold a vote to undergo the Capital Campaign. (Or vote whether to undergo the Feasibility Study first.)
- Decide on a date to get started.
- Notify your MPS Consultant.
- The Consultant will prepare a contract and send to you for your signature.
- A date will be set for the Organizational Meeting.
- At the Organizational Meeting, the Consultant will return to meet with the pastor and leadership to make all the decisions about team leaders, team members, kick off dates, campaign theme, final goals, time tables and schedules, etc.
- From this point, four months of focused activity will lead up to the Commitment Banquet or Commitment Service. The Consultant will be visiting with you approximately two times each month.
- After the commitments are made, a follow up program is set in place. (This is the three-year period when pledges are being fulfilled.)
- Consultant will work with you by phone to make sure all activity remains on track. You may call the Consultant at any time with any additional questions.
